The Ohio Bird Sanctuary along the Clearfork River is a 90-acre nature preserve at 377 Orweiler Road in Mansfield and a haven for indigenous birds. Take the kids to see these featured beauties up close in the Bird Display Area and the walk-through songbird aviary, and join one of the tours and bird of prey presentations. The sanctuary offers daily keeper talks, allowing visitors to ask questions and see the birds up close outside their enclosures.

3. Walk or Cycle Down the Richland B and O Trail

Head to North Lake Park at 268 Rae Avenue in downtown Mansfield and explore the region on foot or two wheels. The scenic paved B and O Trail runs along the railroad bed of the former Baltimore and Ohio Railway for 18.4 miles to Butler and through one of the region’s most breathtaking areas.
